Frequently Asked Questions

How many people are attending?

This retreat is limited to 8 attendees.

What if I don’t feel comfortable sharing my story?

Any information you provide before, during or after this retreat is confidential. You can share as little or as much as you’d like. Your safety, privacy and comfort are of the utmost importance.

What is a Glimmer (retreat)?

The term ‘A Glimmer’ was coined by Deb Dana, licensed clinical social worker, and refers to the moments of positivity we experience that can combat difficult situations or negative emotions. It is a moment that creates a mood-shift, even for a short period of time. It can be recognized when we cuddle our pet, or hear our favorite song, or appreciate things around us.

A Glimmer is the opposite of A Trigger. A trigger can be any stimuli or situation that reminds us of a past trauma – sometimes even subconsciously – or causes a painful memory to reemerge. A trigger can be any sensory reminder of a past trauma.

At our Glimmer + Glamping Retreat we focus on being and staying present, while sharing our own stories in a safe and confidential space. The modalites at our retreat will assist guests in finding ways to resource themselves, while enjoying a positive and fun weekend.
